Work with gratitude.
After nearly a decade, what keeps us inspired is the feeling that we’ve found our Ikigai — the path where passion, expertise, and purpose come together. It’s what makes the work feel meaningful, day after day.
A bit of history:
Meet the Founders.
Hai means two in Vietnamese.
Ikigai is the Japanese idea of finding purpose in what we do.
H&I began in 2018 with two friends (Uyen & Van) who simply wanted to wake up feeling excited about going to work. We were curious about design, about building things that last, and about how creativity could become a meaningful part of everyday life.
Over time, that curiosity turned into a studio.
Hai&Ikigai Design.
Studio Culture
For us, Ikigai at H&I is not a concept. It’s a daily practice 🤲🏼
We value balance, clarity, and a healthy rhythm of work. Our days run simply from nine to five, surrounded by people who care deeply about their craft and about each other.
We all agree that, good ideas rarely appear from exhaustion. Creativity tends to follow when life feels treasured, balanced and our mind has space to think 🩰

Want to learn our crafts? 🧙🏻♀️
At H&I, internships are not about watching from the corner of the room. You’ll be part of the studio: learning, trying, making things, and sometimes getting it wrong before figuring it out. Then you try again 💪
Creative people thrive when they feel trusted, supported, and challenged in the right way. We don’t expect you to know everything. What matters more is curiosity, care for your work, and a can-do mindset.
(Tips: Less is often more. Pick your strongest work, keep it neat, and make sure the file stays under 10MB.)
